My own little slice of heaven

Last week I was called to jury duty. I'm one of those weirdos who gets excited for jury duty as it means I get a day where I have no other option but to read and drink lots of coffee (how that's different from the rest of my life, I'm not sure). I was at a court in a city I'm not all that familiar with, so when they dismissed us for lunch, I had no idea where to go. I walked down the street for a bit and then came across this gem.

The John Bale Book Company in Waterbury, Connecticut is an amazing cafe/bookstore. They have tasty salads (sandwiches and soup are also available) and a barista that works magic with the espresso machine. I want to live within these walls. And score for me, I was selected to serve on the jury so it looks like I'll have a few opportunities this week to enjoy this amazery!
