"Please don't go. We'll eat you up. We love you so."

-Maurice Sendak, Where the Wild Things Are

Beloved children's author, Maurice Sendak, died today at age 83, due to complications from a recent stroke.

The New York Times does a better job of spotlighting his life and accomplishments... so I'll let them do what they do best! Click here to read the NYT's article about Sendak's life and passing.

Maurice Sendak was a huge part of so many childhoods. And will continue to be for years to come. Where the Wild Things Are was published in 1963, and to this day, no nursery bookcase is complete without a copy. Thank you, Maurice!
